- Thank you for the lesson. It was so much fun to talk with you. I learned a lot from you. See you next time.

- I learned very useful phrase "It's up to you" today. It's my example. I introduce a girl to you.A bacteria in a white dress or A nurse in a bikini,it's up to you.

- I could have a delightful time with you today. Today's topic was related to uniqueness of school in your hometown and the close relationship between Turkey and Japan. I did not know a relationship between throat (laryngial?) cancer and hot tea without sugar. I was amazed to know that most British people usually obey the law (ban smoking indoors). Due to bad connection, I could not talk with you face to face, but I look forward to seeing you again.

- Mio told Xandra that she was tired because she had practiced jump-rope at school. She practiced making sentences using both colors and shapes of the objects. Thank you for the lesson, Xandra.

- Shuichi told Xandra about what he is going to do on the field day. He practiced the sentences "What would you like to eat/drink/do?". I can see that these days he tries to make sentences by himself. Thank you for the lesson, Xandra.

自己紹介 |
Hi. My name is Dilhara (ディルハーラ). I’m currently working as a freelance translator (フリーランス翻訳家) for an international company. I translate documents from Japanese into English. In my spare time, I like listening to music, playing the guitar, and watching comedies. I live in Canberra Australia. Canberra is the capital city of Australia but it’s a very small city. I like living in Canberra because it’s a safe and quiet place. Canberra is also the sister city (姉妹都市) of Nara in Japan. There is a lot of cultural exchange (文化交流) between the two cities. I’ve also lived in Japan. I studied at Osaka University for a year. During this time, I also worked as a translator for a company in Osaka translating documents from Japanese into English. I enjoyed my time in Japan very much. I love learning languages. I majored in Japanese and Chinese for my Bachelors degree. I also have a PhD in Japanese and Chinese from the Australian National University. So, I know good language learning strategies that will help you learn English very fast. I’m also very passionate about helping other people learn languages. I’ve taught three languages – English, Japanese and Chinese. I started teaching very early. When I was learning Japanese in senior high school I noticed that a lot of my friends were finding it very difficult. So, the first bit of teaching I did was helping them learn Japanese. Later, to learn more about teaching, I completed an MA in Higher Education and two postgraduate courses on online teaching. I have a lot of experience teaching English. I’ve taught English to English major students at a university in China. I’ve also taught English to Japanese and Chinese speakers in Australia. I know what is difficult for Japanese speakers when learning English and how to resolve those difficulties. I’m a very patient teacher. I’m also very friendly and encouraging. You will feel very comfortable learning with me. I can help you in many different areas because of my qualifications and teaching experience. I can help you with conversation practice, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar for real-life communication, reading comprehension (skimming, scanning, intensive reading) writing practice (formal and informal), and Business English. I can help you whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced level student. I know how to customise my lessons to your individual needs (ひとりひとりのニーズに合ったレッスンを提供いたします)。 I look forward to working with you. |
